Luca Botturi holds a Ph.D in Communication Sciences from the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). He worked as researcher and instructional and e-learning designer at UBC (Vancouver), at UOC (Barcelona), and at the USI, where he is currently active as project manager, media designer and technology expert. Luca is also member of some Open Source development communities.

Luca is active as instructor in communication, education and technologies both in the academic world and in continuing education. In past years he worked as free-lance web designer, as IT consultant and as trainer, both in distance and face-to-face programs. He served for three years as consultant and instructor in a distance project with Colombia.

Luca is a proud father of three and player of guitar, slide guitar and banjo.

At seed, Luca is project manager and executive coordinator.
