How did the idea of the telecentre rise?
CEFE is an after-school centre tutoring high school students living in a disadvantaged suburb in Brasilia. CEFE set up a technological lab to introduce ICT into its high school curricula. CEFE project manager thought that once the infrastructure was in place, it can be use to serve the local community.
What are the next steps?
The ICT lab is in place, activities with high school students are beginning in the following months, fundings for starting the analysis phase of the projects are being looked for.
